Good books feed the mind and nourish the soul. In a broader sense, they inform our collective wisdom. Our ability to conjure, share and preserve narratives separate us from the other animals. Those who tell these stories are social prophets. But it is the reader who is most important in this ritual, because it is the READER who discovers.
